SlideShare Goes Next Step: Zipcast, Turns the Slides into a Webcast with Video, Audio and Chat

SlideShare, a presentation-sharing community, recently launched new service with Zipcast buttons on every public slideshow that turns the slides into a Webcast with video, audio and chat. Zipcast is a fast, simple, and social web conferencing service that enables users to meet on the web with just one click. It requires no downloads – just an updated browser (No Internet Explorer 6) and Flash 10 and higher.

Zipcasts work on both PC and Mac computers. The basic SlideShare account is free, and every SlideShare users will have free, unlimited access to Zipcast for conducting public and private meetings. SlideShare Pro, starting at $19/month, offers additional functionality like password-protected meetings accessible only to people invited by the host.
